Over this Thanksgiving holiday I was expecting my family to come into town for the weekend. My guest bedroom is a mess! Meaning it has almost everything in there but the kitchen sink to make it into a NY apartment! Okay, maybe not that bad, but It’s turned into my mothers personal closet/dressing room. Long story short cleaned it up as best as I could but I had to deal with the elephant in the room. Picture below.
As you can see its old and seen better days. But I was in a jam and needed to do something QUICK. So this is what I ended up doing.
To secure the bottom and the sides I simply used some push pins to hold it in place. Now that the holidays are over looking at the fabric it gives me an idea that I just might use it to reupholster it sometime soon. For now I’ve gotta get back to my day job…transforming people with their beauty thru hairstyling.

When looking for chair(s) furniture we look for two things…comfort and style. However, in some cases comfort isn’t what your looking for, but more or less style to decorate a room. If you’ve got a little extra room in your kitchen you can possibly add a nook to give more seating for you and your family.
Love the colors in what looks like a formal living room. Don’t be afraid to bring in colors and different patterns.
Lucite (ghost) chairs work wonders. Here’s what I mean. If you have a small space the clearness of the chair gives the illusion that the room is bigger, because it’s not blocking any views. Add colorful pillows to bring life to the chair and give your room a little texture.
Patio furniture has come a long way with color too! If you’ve got patio furniture that’s in good condition try taking it on as a weekend project. A little sweat equity goes a long way plus you might just surprise yourself at what you can do.

Song of Style: Morning Chill
In my recent search for a topic to write about I came across Aimee Song a fellow blogger. Below are some pictures she took of her bedroom design (which is still a work in progress).
Everything flows together without disrupting your eye flow. What attracted me most, is this high (tufted) headboard! The pillows are a nice break in color without taking away from the bed. Another Case Fulfilled
So once again I’ve been busy working on another pillow cover over the weekend. However, I was only able to get one done. But I’m hoping to get the other finished before the week is finished. I didn’t have much time last weekend to get it done so this is what I have to show you so far. Below is my newest addition.

I think the pop of color goes well with my bedding. Can’t wait till I have the matching pair to display on the bed. For the next several weekends I’ll be working on pillow covers and posting them on here so if your interested let me know. I’ll need the size and it will be a custom cover for your pillow(s).
By early next year I’ll have some (others) to sell. These that I have posted are my trial and errors. I have so much more I’d like to share with you but for now this is all I can share. So I hope you enjoyed seeing, “my work in progress”. I’m loving how their all coming together.
