IS THIS SEAT TAKEN?

When looking for chair(s) furniture we look for two things…comfort and style. However, in some cases comfort isn’t what your looking for, but more or less style to decorate a room. I’ve got a little bit of everything to give you some ideas for your next room! Take a look and tell me what styles you like to see in your next makeover.

20131102-200513.jpgLove the colors in what looks like a formal living room. Don’t be afraid to bring in colors and different patterns.
20131102-200528.jpgLucite (ghost) chairs work wonders. Here’s what I mean. If you have a small space the clearness of the chair gives the illusion that the room is bigger, because it’s not blocking any views. Add colorful pillows to bring life to the chair and give your room a little texture.
20131102-202132.jpg20131102-202156.jpgPatio furniture has come a long way with color too! If you’ve got patio furniture that’s in good condition try taking it on as a weekend project. A little sweat equity goes a long way plus you might just surprise yourself at what you can do.

WEEKEND ORGANIZING

It’s a New Year so that means in with the new and out with the old! So how are you organizing your home? BHG has some great ideas. Such as this image below. Mason jars are excellent for organizing your toiletries in the bathroom. Stack your towels in an open shelf above your toilet or below your vanity if you have room.Another great organizing solution is to store any unused towels, paper towels, or toilet paper in your laundry room (again only if you have room). I know some laundry rooms are small but this is easy to accomplish in any room really. Most of the time we only look at the floor space and forget all about, the “wall space”. Don’t be afraid to hang some cabinets or open shelves to store items you need.  Sara Richardson displays this from the picture above. I’m also a fan of trays being used in different ways. She has all the detergents and other stain removers all neatly placed in a tray. It looks so put together and organized. Thanks for viewing have a great weekend everyone!

p.s. I’m going to work on my chair I wrote about the other day So hopefully I’ll have some work in progress photos to upload before the weekend is done.

Table Centerpiece

Via Midwest Living

This centerpiece is a great DIY for your home. Simply use a variety of small ornaments wrap it with a bow and add faux snow to give the illusion that this has been outside in the snow.

This is a great idea for changing out the seasons. Simply empty out what you have remaining in these jars with current season ideas. What I love most about this; is how they bring a little of the outdoors Christmas season inside. These are affordable inexpensive ways to decorate your table for the holiday cheer!! You can check out more of Lori’s ideas here.
Tell me how your table(s) are coming along? Do you have you tree up yet?

Fruit Punch Love

I fell in love with this myself and plan to use it in my own home. However I brought a sample swatch over to my client’s home and immediately they liked it. Check out the before and after pics below, and I hope you enjoy them as much as I did making them!! 🙂
