What’s That Smell?!

I started writing this on my Facebook page until I realized I haven’t posted anything on here this week.
Believe it or not but, I’m a candle lover!!! One of the things I’d like to share with you guys are the candles I buy. My scents may not be the same as yours. BUT if you love scented candles as much as I do, I won’t steer you in the wrong direction when it comes to the brands.
This brand I haven’t seen before but when I opened the box it had me in a trans (it spoke to me). I tend to gravitate towards things that do that. Anywho! What I most enjoy about this candle is the fact that when I took it out the box. Let it sit on my dresser across from my bed for a little while, I could smell it from across the room. So I decided to light it up and enjoy the scents. The back of the box reads, “sandlewood, star anise, and patchouli are, accented with the sweetness of vanilla and caramel praline”. It has a little sweetness and wood smell. Which mainly is from the sandlewood. It’s a more masculine smell but not too over powering.

This other candle I noticed was by the same company so I decided to give this one a shot as well. From the smell of it has a clean crisp feeling. Kind of like fresh washed linens. As you can see I found this in HomeGoods so if you have one near you look for them. I’m going to have to go back for the larger one tomorrow ($30). Boy is it worth it! Daily Find

It’s a rainy day here in southern CT. In my continue search for some seating for my friend S’s new office. I decided to check my favorite place for some inspirational finds! I found this modern chair. What attracted me to this was the lines and its simplicity.

The price for this is right and best of all the client is on board with this chair. Once it’s purchased I’ll give it a new coat of paint and reupholster the bottom cushion. I also found this GORGE large mirror that had some beautiful details in the framing around the mirror.

Last but certainly not least! I couldn’t take my eyes of this!

Currently it holds on top a record player which probably is holding records below for storage. I’d use this as a small bar. Where the record player sits. I’d use this space for the variety of alcohol bottles. To the left will display champaign, wine or martini glasses. Below will be storage for any other beverages/glasses. I’m so tempted to buy & flip this! Happy hump (Wednesday) day!

There’s No Place Like Home…& Office Design

Sorry I’ve been m.i.a. again. So much has happened as usual. I’ve moved back home to Connecticut. And boy has it been challenging (in a good way). I’m continuing my career as a hairstylist and now interior decorator. I’ve recently been inspired to decorate an office space for a friend. Who told me, “I’m multi-talented.” Thanks S! Great way to welcome me back into something else I love doing… Her job she says is boring but it’s something she loves to do. Her job consist of bookkeeping and tax preparation so why not make a boring job into a fun comfortable atmosphere to welcome you?! Here’s some before pics.

I purchased this rug off of Craigslist for a great price. The colors from the rug incorporate the colors from the walls & wood floor. Up next a glass door storage cabinet for all her office supplies. Inside will showcase colorful storage containers to (hide) hold confidential documents. Which will tie into her colorful bright personality.
